Retirement Villages

Modcoms have been providing services into retirement villages for the past 15 years with our main focus being the safety of all of the residents while providing a system, which complies, to the stringent Australian Standards to protect the owners and management from any litigation claims

Our aim is to ensure residents are safe within the boundaries of their living complex together with giving them all of the services they left behind in the own home.

This challenge has been accomplished with the use of enhanced technology now available to a retirement village. Residents do not want a complicated method of calling for help in a duress situation, our medical Blue Phone fits into this category, by simply pressing a pendant or call point in their unit help is on its way within minutes.

The new incoming residents (called the Baby Boomers) have been used to having services such as ADSL broadband, Free to Air and Pay TV. These services are now available at a cost that can be less than they were paying when living back in their own home.

Dslam (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) is a means of supplying this service to an existing our green field site simply and efficiently. Dslam is able to provide these services over existing telephone cable or dedicated CAT 5.
