Modcoms Voice Data Mobility (Modcoms) has teamed up with FreeGate Networks offering a cost effective solution to provide reliable value added services together with Smart-Caller medical emergency monitoring into Retirement Villages and the Health Care Industry.

 

Modcoms and FreeGate have announced their successful implementation of this concept at The Orchards Village in Lisarow NSW a Village owned and operated by Astoria Platinum Villages. It provides added value communication services direct into all independent living including, Telephone Service, Digital Free to Air TV, Video- on -Demand, ADSL Broadband and fully Australian Standards compliant Emergency-call Medical Monitoring - all on existing telephone copper cable.

 

The collective technology adopted by Modcoms and FreeGate incorporates ‘Triple Play’ equipment supporting the latest ADSL2+ Broadband standards facilitates distribution of very fast communications using existing copper telephone wiring.

 

The “Triple Play” over the existing copper solution has allowed The Orchards Village to provide its residents access to Internet with speeds up to 24Mbps while allowing simultaneous access to normal telephone communication, Free to Air Digital TV and Video-on-Demand.

FoxTel, Australia’s leading subscription television provider and FreeGate Networks have recently signed a contract to allow Modcoms to offer to its clients the full FOXTEL Digital service, giving viewers the choice of more than 100 digital channels

 

This modern and reliable solution has saved The Orchards Village a vast financial outlay by simply being able to utilise the existing copper cabling.
