Mitel Dynamic Extension recognized for product innovation award
Mitel today announced that Mitel Dynamic Extension has been recognized by Frost & Sullivan as the recipient of the 2009 Best Practices Award for Global Enterprise Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) Product Differentiation Innovation. Mitel received the award in recognition of the company’s ability to identify a growing market need, leverage its core competencies, and introduce an effective solution into the market.
Mitel Dynamic Extension delivers single-number ‘reachability,’ by publishing one number to be contacted and pairing this number to simultaneously ring up to eight devices in a personal ring group. These devices can be any internal or external phone and need not include Mitel phones. More often we are finding this would more than likely be there mobile handset, home phone if working remotely or another handset connected to another system (non Mitel)
Dynamic Extension also provides seamless hand-off between devices i.e. A user receives a call in the car on their mobile handset , arrives to their office or remote location , pushes 1 button on their desk phone which hands the call from the mobile device to the fixed desktop device and continues the call without the other party knowing .
