Mitel Simply Communicating Blog – The Importance of your Communication Solution

As far as tools go, phone is by far one of the most versatile and critical parts of any communication strategy. Think about it, what business that you can think of that doesn’t have one, use one, or has ever heard of one?
For many of us, our communications system is the means by which we build a foundation for our customer relationships.
But even in this era of communication on a global scale, some of the challenges that most enterprises have been faced with is the complexity in which way we do business. On average an employee has about 4 numbers to reach them (home and work, personal, and work mobile devices) and this doesn’t take in to account email and other social media.
From a business perspective, ensuring that your customer / prospect has a simple and quick way to access and interact with you and your company is key. Think about the many calls you missed because your mobile phone ran out of power or didn’t have a signal, your mailbox was full, or the customer waited too long on hold? Thinking about these missed opportunities makes me lose sleep at night.
The solution should be simple and easy to use so that there are no missed calls. We recently invested in a new communications system which provides our customers with one single number to reach any of us regardless of which device we are currently using. Imagine no matter where any of us is – on-site or off – our customers can reach us…a novel experience!
Now let’s explore the benefit of this singular application from the vantage point of a client we have. A very successful car dealership has always appreciated the simplistic approach to communications, and why not? The simpler the communications the more they can focus on providing the best experience for the car buyer and the higher their Customer Service Index scores become. An issue that the dealership had was the inefficient communication with the parts department. Their customers and independent mechanics were spending a lot of time looking for the parts department staff. The reason was because the staff were picking through parts and were away from their desks. Now they have Dynamic Extension Express along with DECT handsets, they have the best of both worlds. Employees are more mobile and more available to customerss, which increase the profitability of the dealership.
The system that this dealership implemented was the Mitel 5000 CP. This is but one example of how a communications system plays an integral and critical part in overall business operations and bottom line profitability.
What are you doing to improve communications with your customers, partners, and prospects?

Lifestyle Solutions Camp to Belong Charity Golf Day
Lifestyle Solutions Camp to Belong Charity Golf Day

Local not for profit organisation Lifestyle Solutions held a charity golf day at Belmont Golf Course on Friday 3rd September, to raise much needed funds for Camp to Belong, one of their disadvantaged kids in care programs.
Camp To Belong is a week long residential camp that brings together brothers and sisters between the ages of 7 to 17 years who, through no fault of their own, have been separated and placed in separate foster homes throughout NSW.
Event organiser Brooke Cross says, “Imagine growing up without seeing your brothers or sisters, not knowing all the special things about their lives like their favourite colour or sharing birthdays and Christmas together. For thousands of children and young people living in Out of Home Care across Australia, sadly this is their story.”
Through the simple enjoyment of a game of golf, local business and community members supported the program by entering a team on the day..
Modcoms were more than happy to be involved as a Bronze sponsor knowing the money will go towards this camp that reunites siblings who have been separated from their families and live in Out of Home Care
We would like to congratulate Lifestyle Solutions for all the work they do in the community and for holding such a wonderful event,we look forward to being part of it again next year
